The mission of the Arkansas Department of Agriculture's Forestry Division is to protect Arkansas’s forests and those who enjoy them from wildland fire and natural hazards; while promoting rural and urban forest health, stewardship, development, and conservation for all generations of Arkansans. Services and offerings include, but are not limited to: statewide wildland fire response and wildland fire prevention education, forester assistance including forest management plans and tree identification, Baucum Nursery and Tree Orchard, statewide forestry law enforcement and investigation, voluntary Best Management Practices for water quality management, Forest Inventory & Analysis data, urban forestry and forest health assistance, Poison Springs State Forest, and more.
