Gem Chain Bar was established in 1989 in Kooskia, ID by former loggers who envisioned products that would make timber harvesting more efficient. In 2005, GEM responded to growing demand by incorporating cutting-edge technology into their manufacturing process and moving to their current expanded facility in Grangeville, ID.  Harvester bars, replacement tips, sprockets and related products are shipped to companies throughout the US and around the world. By developing unique processes to manufacture parts from the strongest materials in the industry, GEM is able to provide unsurpassed wear life and durability. In order to maintain a reputation for both fast turn times and superior quality, GEM employs advanced automation and robotics to continually increase production capacity, consistency and quality.
